The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed the second supplementary cost sheet within the Manesar land rip-off case in Haryana. Former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is below probe on this rip-off however he has not been named within the cost sheet filed on Sunday.
The ED has named 13 people and entities within the cost sheet and has connected properties price Rs 108.79 crore.
The company initiated cash laundering investigation within the case on the premise of FIR registered by the Manesar Police, and the investigation carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
The FIR claims that Haryana authorities issued a notification in 2005 for acquisition of 912 acres for establishing an industrial mannequin township in Manesar, Naurangpur and Lakhnoula villages below the Gurugram district. Many homeowners offered their lands at throwaway costs, leading to wrongful lack of Rs 1500 crore to them, the FIR additional says.
The ED investigation revealed that builders/non-public entities extorted the land from the farmers and landholders on meagre charges by exhibiting the worry of acquisition. These builders in flip obtained licences and gained good-looking income in a fraudulent method.
Investigation additional revealed that many of the land parcels had been bought by ABWIL group which is managed by Atul Bansal who has been named within the ED cost sheet right this moment. The ABWIL group offered the licensed/unlicensed land and licences to builders thereby making big income, stated ED.
Hooda has already been cost sheeted on this rip-off by the CBI in 2018.
